Whenever you might get the opportunity to appreciate a hundred-year-old ornate wooden staircase or doorway in a heritage building, you’d likely also think ‘they just don’t make things like they used to’.

Largely speaking, you’d be right. But there is one guy who still practises the nearly-lost art of traditional joinery. Wayne Mavin is a master craftsman who uses time-honoured methods and quality timber to create works of the highest standards for his discerning clients.

We created a monogram for Wayne which he now uses to brand (as in, mark – in the old-fashioned sense) all of his pieces. We visited Wayne at his workshop and captured him with his tools; we felt that his brand needed next-level authenticity and so beautiful photography for his website and social media was essential.
